If a woman takes contraceptives on a regular basis, whether oral contraceptives, the implant or the intrauterine device, for example, she should stop taking them before seeking pregnancy. This may mean that it will be necessary to wait for some time until the woman regains normal menstrual cycle activity and, therefore, her fertility.
Therefore, after stopping contraceptives, patience should not be lost if it takes some time to achieve the desired pregnancy.
