When a baby is born with toxoplasmosis because the mother was infected during pregnancy, it is said to have congenital toxoplasmosis. These babies may have the following signs:
- Low birth weight.
- Prematurity.
- Visual disturbances.
- Hydrocephalus.
- Jaundice.
- Skin rashes.
