The MACS technique allows the semen to be filtered, thus separating apoptotic (or dead) sperm from healthy and viable sperm. This complementary technique is particularly indicated in men with a high percentage of sperm fragmentation and/or who have undergone several unsuccessful IVF-ICSI cycles.
