Some cases of UTIs are completely asymptomatic and people are unaware that they have a urinary tract infection. However, in other cases, patients describe discomfort such as pain in the lower back or vaginal area. In addition, UTIs can manifest with fever and even blood in the urine.
Another commonly known symptom is the constant need to urinate, but not emptying completely.
