Vasoepididymostomy, also known as epididymovasostomy, is a fairly complex urological intervention that lasts around 5 hours.

It is a form of vasectomy reversal that is carried out by joining the vas deferens directly to the epididymis. In this way, the spermatozoa regain their mobility and will be able to go outside in the ejaculate.

During this procedure, the patient does not feel pain since it is performed under anesthesia. However, the man may have pain in the area for days after the vasoepididymostomy, as well as swelling or bruising. For all these reasons, it is recommended to avoid having sexual intercourse for a few weeks and picking up heavy objects.
