Thanks to advances in science and the development of vitrification, the probability of IVF success when using frozen eggs is practically the same as when using fresh eggs.
According to the results published in the latest statistical registry of the Spanish Fertility Society 8SEF) in 2022, the results were:
- Fresh own eggs: the gestation rate per transfer was 34.6% and the delivery rate was 25.0%.
- Own frozen oocytes: the gestation rate per transfer was 43.0%, while the delivery rate was 31.2%.
