Possible treatments for cryptorchidism

It is normal for the testicles to descend completely in the first 12 months of the baby's life. If this is not the case, some treatment will be necessary.

There is the possibility of trying to lower the testicles into position by means of hormonal treatment, although this therapy is less and less used due to the side effects it causes in the male.

The most common today is to resort to orchiopexy. This is a surgery with which the undescended testicles can be lowered, although this intervention must be performed before the baby is 2 years old.
