From week 8 of pregnancy, the woman's uterus begins to widen due to the progressive increase in size of the embryo. This causes some symptoms in the mother, such as cramps in the belly, lower back and legs, or sciatic pain, which extends from the buttocks to the legs and can be very uncomfortable.
To relieve sciatic pain, it is recommended that women lie on the side opposite to the pain. In this way, the pressure on the sciatic nerve is reduced.
