When the amount of Natural Killer (NK) cells in a woman's body is too high, she may suffer miscarriages. This cannot be cured, but there are specific treatments to improve NK levels.
Many women with high NK levels take corticosteroids, immunoglobulins or heparin-based immunomodulators to reduce the abnormal immune system response. This prevents possible implantation failure and miscarriage.
