Women with Rokitansky syndrome can become mothers through surrogacy. Since these women have functional ovaries, it is possible to extract the eggs to fertilize them in the laboratory with the sperm of the couple or an anonymous donor. The embryos obtained are then transferred to the uterus of a pregnant woman, who will be in charge of maintaining the pregnancy for the following 9 months.
Surrogacy is an illegal technique in Spain at present. However, there are already many Spanish people who have traveled to a foreign country to become parents thanks to it.
