Discomfort or symptoms after artificial insemination are due to the side effects of drugs such as progesterone. Therefore, it is common to present abdominal swelling and pain, uterine discomfort, brown spotting and swollen breasts.
Only if these symptoms become very intense or prevent the woman from carrying on with routine activities, is it advisable to consult a doctor to see if rest is necessary.
