Anovulation is an alteration of the ovulatory cycle in which a viable oocyte is not released. It is one of the causes of infertility in women. Anovulation can be triggered by diet, exercise, physical stress or some hormonal imbalance, amongst other causes, such as the Polycysitc Ovary Syndrome.
This disorder, which may cause irregular ovarian cycles, has a treatment that varies according the origin of the alterations; therefore its seriousness depends on that.
It is strongly advisable to see a specialist that applies the proper solution.
