Artificial insemination with donor sperm (AID) is indicated in the following cases:
- Women without a male partner, such as single women or lesbian couples.
- Genetic disease of the father that cannot be detected by preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
- Poor seminal quality, after several ICSI attempts, or absence of sperm.
- Sexually transmitted diseases: in cases where it is not possible to obtain a virus-free sample.
