Consequences of the presence of ESAs

Artificial insemination by conjugal insemination (AI) is one of the recommended options when the presence of antisperm antibodies (ASA) is suspected. The presence of such antibodies can cause:

  • Problems in sperm motility.
  • Difficulty for sperm to penetrate the cervical mucus.
  • Impaired interaction between sperm and egg for fertilisation.
