The subdermal implant is a fairly comfortable and effective contraceptive method that is recommended for women of reproductive age who do not wish to become pregnant. Some cases where the use of the contraceptive implant is especially recommended are the following:
- Women with intolerance to oral contraceptives or OCPs.
- Women in whom the use of intrauterine device or IUD is not recommended.
- Women with a tendency to forget the administration of daily contraceptive pills.
