The vaginal ring is a monthly method of female contraception. This hormonal contraceptive is shaped like a ring and the woman must wear it for 3 weeks. When this time has passed and the woman removes the ring, menstruation arrives. Then, when the period is over, another vaginal ring must be inserted.
