There are a multitude of contraceptive methods, both male and female. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, making them more appropriate for each type of person.
Depending on their mechanism of action, there are hormonal contraceptives, barrier contraceptives or those that include surgery. The latter produce a state of permanent infertility.
