The determination of FSH hormone in the blood should be performed on day 3-5 of the woman's menstrual cycle. FSH is a female hormone involved in follicle development.
FSH is secreted by the pituitary gland and exerts its function on the ovary. As a woman gets older, more FSH hormone will be needed for oocyte maturation.
