Most often, when a woman starts trying to get pregnant naturally, she is completely unaware of the state of her ovaries and the number of eggs she has available, i.e. her ovarian reserve.
It should be noted that women are born with a limited number of ovarian follicles and this number is reduced over the years until it is completely depleted by the menopause. For this reason, a blood test to assess the concentration of certain hormones could be the solution to find out a woman's reproductive status.
