Oocyte quality is not affected by uterine conization. However, it is difficult to know whether this intervention can affect female fertility and hinder pregnancy.
If uterine conization is deep and affects the muscle fibers that keep the cervix closed, miscarriages and premature deliveries are more likely to occur.
