The term clinical pregnancy is used for those pregnancies in which the presence of a heartbeat and gestational sac has been confirmed by ultrasound at week 6-7 of pregnancy.

However, clinical pregnancy also includes ectopic pregnancy, that is, when the embryo implants in a place other than the endometrium. On the other hand, a biochemical pregnancy is not considered a clinical pregnancy, since it is a preclinical pregnancy.
