Kallman syndrome is a genetic pathology associated with the X chromosome that causes an alteration in hormone regulation. Therefore, the production of sperm is defective.
Males with Kallman syndrome have their GnRH production blocked, so they do not produce the hormones FSH, LH, or testosterone. This is the reason why men diagnosed with this genetic syndrome suffer from infertility, among other things.
