Implantation bleeding usually occurs approximately 7 to 10 days after ovulation, close to the time of menstruation.
Women who are seeking pregnancy are able to identify this sign of implantation because it occurs before the expected date of their period. On the other hand, those who are not expecting pregnancy often confuse this bleeding with their period, as they do not usually keep track of the days of their menstrual cycle.
