Artificial insemination or AI is a low complexity assisted reproductive technique that consists of introducing a semen sample (previously trained in the laboratory) with the objective of fertilizing the egg.
This reproductive option is indicated for women with mild endometriosis, but not if the endometriosis is grade III or IV. For artificial insemination to be successful, the fallopian tubes must be permeable.
