Artificial insemination (AI) is a low complexity assisted reproductive technique that consists of introducing a semen sample, either from the male partner or from a donor, into the uterine cavity.

The next step after ovarian stimulation would be the processing of the seminal sample in the laboratory in order to proceed with the actual insemination.
