Egg donation in Prague

Hi!

I’m currently considering egg donation abroad. I stumpled across egg donation clinics in the Czech republic in forums where people mentioned fertility clinics in Prague.
I was looking at a website of a fertility clinic over there and my first impression was good actually. The costs are pretty low compared to other destinations so I might consider a treatment there. Can someone tell me about their egg donation experience in Czech republik in general and Prague in particular?

Do you recommend it? If yes, why? If not, why? Do you have alternative suggestions?

We were at Reprofit Brno. They have international patient coordinators and offer also help with accomodations. Of course, they can’t do miracles and not everyone will be able to get pregnant in the end (as hard as it may sound) but they already have helped a lot of patients.

In our case it took us three cycles until we were able to get pregnant. I had some complications (ovarian hyperstimulation) but they will monitor you during your treatment and take appropriate measures so that everything goes well. As far as the costs concern, I don’t think it will necessary be more economical as it depends also on additional treatments and the number of intents you’ll need. We had investigated fertility clinics in Spain before, and while they are more expensive per se (which is why we opt for Czech republik in the end but with what we know today we might have chosen differently), it might be the case that you are already successful on your first cycle so at the end it isn’t that costly, either.

Get yourself also prepared emotionally because it can be a real draining process as well due to the application of hormonal drugs which definitely have its side effects on your psychological well-being. Can’t remember if they offer psychological assistance, but some other clinics do so it might be worth to consider, especially when you’re alone on your journey without partner, etc.

let me join your convo. My husband and I am currently at Fertility Center in Prague for egg donation IVF. We are still waiting for our results so keep your fingers crossed for us!
As far as the process and the service of the staff concerns, we are quite satisfied but in the end what counts is if we are able to get back home with a baby in my tummy!!
