Number of blastocysts to transfer and success rate using donated egg

Hello, we recently went through an egg donation in the Czech Republic, and am 4dp5dt. I am 43 yrs and we had been advised that the chances of transferring both only increased by 5%. But risk if twins were 50%. Given my age (and small stature) thought risks of carrying twins maybe too high. So we went with one and froze the other one. Just out of curiosity would it have been better to do two instead of one? I know what’s done is done but would like the opinion of another source. Obviously doesn’t change anything but would like to know anyway 🙂

A multiple pregnancy always carries a series of risks, and that’s why the general recommendation is to transfer just 1 embryo. So, from my point of view, a single embryo transfer (SET) in your case was the right option.
