  2. Hi Carola Green,

embryo implantation in the uterus usually occurs around day 6-7 of embryonic development. Therefore, if the embryos are 3 days old, they must continue to develop for a few more days in the uterus until they can implant.

However, if the embryos are 5 days old, they have already reached the blastocyst stage and will quickly implant in the uterus. If you want to learn more about it, click here: What are the different stages of embryo implantation?

    Hope this answers your question,

    Best regards

    • Hi Carola,

the most common signs are increased vaginal discharge, slight bleeding, changes in breasts, nausea, or fatigue.

However, having those symptoms or a lack thereof doesn’t suggest per se if your embryo transfer was successful or not. Keep in mind that every woman may present different symptoms and symptoms are also often due to the hormonal medication of the IVF procedure.

Read more about symptoms and signs after embryo transfer here: Symptoms After Embryo Transfer – Most Common Positive Signs.

      Hope this helps,

      all the best.
