Today's lifestyle and socio-economic situation have led to a growing desire among women to delay their biological clock. As a woman's reproductive potential decreases with age, the vitrification technique represents a breakthrough. Thanks to this technique, cryopreserved eggs maintain almost the same quality as before freezing and are on a par with fresh eggs that have not been frozen.
According to data provided by the latest statistical registry of the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) for 2021, the pregnancy rate using fresh eggs was 34.4%, while with vitrified eggs it was 41.9%. This indicates that the use of vitrified eggs has a similar success rate compared to the use of fresh eggs.
