Clinical manifestations of hyperprolactinemia

Hyperprolactinemia or increased prolactin levels in the blood is a pathology that can occur in both men and women. Some of the symptoms associated with hyperprolactinemia in women are anovulation, headaches, hirsutism and vaginal dryness.

Therefore, it is quite common for hyperprolactinemia to cause fertility problems in women due to the alteration of the menstrual cycle and the absence of ovulation caused by high prolactin levels.
