Female sex hormones and thyroid hormones are interrelated. Therefore, hyperthyroidism can cause alteration of the woman's menstrual cycle and problems in conceiving.
In addition, it has been shown that high levels of thyroid hormones in the body can alter embryo implantation, as well as cause miscarriages.
