In both natural pregnancy and artificial insemination, fertilization occurs in the fallopian tubes, so it is essential that these are permeable.
Thanks to hysterosalpingography (diagnostic test to see the uterus and the tubes), it is possible to assess this tubal permeability and to know if there is any alteration that causes infertility due to tubal factor.
