The uterus is fundamental for a pregnancy to occur. Any uterine anomaly can cause infertility in women. Some of these are:
- Agenesis or total absence of the uterus.
- Unicornuate uterus, that is, it has only one Müllerian duct.
- Uterus didelphys or double uterus.
- Bicornuate uterus during the fusion of the Müllerian ducts.
- Septate uterus by a central septum.
