When a woman is diagnosed with an intrauterine hematoma, she should follow all the guidelines established by her physician. It is important that the pregnant woman attends gynecological check-ups at the times established by her specialist to avoid any complications.
In addition, if the intrauterine hematoma is large, the specialist will recommend absolute rest for the patient. The woman will not be able to have sexual relations and, in some cases, she will be prescribed the administration of progesterone pessaries. In high-risk cases, the woman will be hospitalized for further care.
