Sperm DNA fragmentation

Sperm DNA fragmentation

The sperm DNA fragmentation study is a complementary test for the study of male fertility. If the sperm DNA is damaged, alterations can occur in fertilization and the embryo formed may have difficulty implanting in the mother's uterus.

For this reason, it will be necessary for those men with more than 30% fragmentation in their sperm to resort to assisted reproduction techniques to achieve a pregnancy.
