Although the main advantage of embryo reduction is that it increases the survival rate of the remaining fetuses, this procedure also carries certain risks. Below are some of the possible consequences that may result from embryo reduction:
- Miscarriage
- Preterm birth
- Intra-amniotic infection
- Hemorrhaging
