Those males who present a high percentage of dead spermatozoa in the ejaculate (necrozoospermia) will have greater difficulty in achieving a pregnancy naturally. Therefore, if they wish to have a baby, these patients will need to resort to assisted reproduction techniques.
The fertility treatment recommended for patients with necrozoospermia is in vitro fertilization with sperm microinjection, IVF-ICSI. In this way, the sperm are selected in the laboratory and introduced into the eggs. On the other hand, artificial insemination would not be a good option if the man has necrozoospermia, since it would not have a high success rate.
