The most common presentation of the drug Ovitrelle is a disposable pre-filled pen containing 250 µg of the active ingredient, choriogonadotropin alpha, in 0.5 ml of solution for injection.
Choriogonadotropin alpha corresponds to the recombinant hormone hCG, whose mechanism of action is to trigger the final maturation of the ovarian follicles and ovulation.
For this reason, Ovitrelle is a drug commonly used in assisted reproduction treatments such as artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization.
