The most important factor for the success of fertility treatments is age. Therefore, if we take into account that egg donors are young, healthy girls with good psychological health, then it is to be expected that their eggs will be of high quality and, therefore, that IVF with egg donation will have high pregnancy rates.
In fact, egg donors cannot be more than 35 years old as established by Spanish law. In addition, there are centres authorised for egg donation that do not admit candidates over 30 years of age into their donation programmes.
