Spanish Law 14/2006 on assisted human reproduction techniques establishes a maximum limit of three embryos per transfer. However, this is not the norm in fertility centers. Professionals are increasingly opting to transfer a single embryo to avoid the potential risks associated with multiple pregnancies.
Nevertheless, deciding how many embryos to transfer is a highly personalized decision depending on each patient's situation.
