The success rates of conjugal artificial insemination are not very high, as can be seen in this table. After about 37 years of age, both the pregnancy rate and the delivery rate decrease considerably, so this fertility treatment is not recommended.
For example, the pregnancy rate in women under 35 years of age is 14.3%; while in women over 40 years of age, the probability of pregnancy is reduced to 6.4%. Similarly, the birth rate is 11.3% and 3.3%, respectively.
These data have been obtained from the National Activity Registry for the year 2021 prepared by the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF).
The statistical data shown here should not be used to imply or predict a certainty of outcome for a specific individual within an at-risk population.
