Generally, when we talk about the success rate of a fertility treatment such as artificial insemination (AI), we refer to the pregnancy or delivery rate. However, there are other ways of expressing the success rate of a reproductive treatment, such as, for example, the live birth rate.
In addition, in the case of AI, the cumulative pregnancy rate is also referred to, since the probability of achieving pregnancy increases as AI cycles are performed. This increase in the probability of AI pregnancy has only been described up to the fourth attempt.
