Secretory azoospermia is a type of azoospermia characterized by the absence of sperm in the ejaculate due to alterations in the sperm production process. If the cause of secretory azoospermia is irreversible, men diagnosed with secretory azoospermia will have to resort to assisted reproduction techniques with donor sperm in order to become fathers.
However, if secretory azoospermia is caused by a reversible factor, such as hormonal factors, then sperm production could be restored and pregnancy achieved naturally or through in vitro fertilization.
