Symptoms of psychological pregnancy

When a woman has pregnancy symptoms but tests negative in pregnancy tests, and the doctor has ruled out pregnancy, it may be a psychological pregnancy.

Among the symptoms of psychological pregnancy we can find:

  • Amenorrhea.
  • Increased breast size and areola.
  • Darkening of the skin.
  • Increase in the size of the abdomen and weight.
  • Nausea and gastric problems.
  • Sleep disturbances.
  • Cravings.

In the case of psychological pregnancy, the patient may need psychological therapy with or without medication.
