When a woman has pregnancy symptoms but tests negative in pregnancy tests, and the doctor has ruled out pregnancy, it may be a psychological pregnancy.
Among the symptoms of psychological pregnancy we can find:
- Amenorrhea.
- Increased breast size and areola.
- Darkening of the skin.
- Increase in the size of the abdomen and weight.
- Nausea and gastric problems.
- Sleep disturbances.
- Cravings.
In the case of psychological pregnancy, the patient may need psychological therapy with or without medication.
