Prostatitis or inflammation of the prostate is a condition that is usually caused by a bacterial E. coli infection. However, inflammation of the prostate can also be caused by other non-bacterial reasons such as:
- Urinary obstruction.
- Phimosis.
- Trauma to the perineum.
