A male is diagnosed with teratozoospermia when his semen contains a high percentage of spermatozoa with altered morphology. This may be due to the patient's lifestyle, as stress and anxiety may cause alterations in sperm shape, concentration and motility.
In addition, alcohol and tobacco consumption may also influence sperm morphology. Similarly, testicular exposure to heat may affect sperm formation. This is why it is important to avoid placing the computer on top of the legs or wearing tight-fitting underwear.
