Some diseases are the cause of teratozoospermia in the male, that is, a high percentage of spermatozoa with altered forms. This would be an irreversible cause of teratozoospermia.
Among the pathologies related to teratozoospermia are testicular trauma or the presence of varicocele. In addition, meningitis infections and diabetes in the male could also cause alterations in the shape of the spermatozoa.
