Open testicular biopsy, or TESE, is a surgical procedure that involves removing small pieces of testicle tissue for examination under a microscope. Once removed, the fragments are fractionated in the laboratory.
The TESE procedure involves making an incision in the skin of the scrotum and another in the testicle. The wound is then closed with stitches and protected with a bandage.
