Programmed intercourse or directed intercourse is an assisted reproduction technique of low complexity and the least invasive technique. This method is assimilated to the natural process of fertilization.
Another advantage of programmed intercourse is its price, since it is quite low. In addition, timed intercourse can be of great help in young couples and in patients who for religious or moral reasons cannot undergo fertility treatments such as artificial insemination (AI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
