When a woman has a tubal ligation, but wishes to become a mother, there is the option of reversing the tubal ligation. Prior to tubal reversal, a laparoscopy can be performed to check if the tubal ends are longer than 6 cm. Otherwise, tubal ligation could not be reversed.
In addition, before performing a reversal, it is also essential to perform a fertility study to rule out other pathologies.
